5 Tips for your best trip to

Vail Colorado

Ski the frontside!

The backside
Everyone jumps on the lifts first thing in the morning and hurry to the back bowls that means the front side is wide open! Ski runs with fewer other skiers or snowboarders, enjoy little to no lift lines at Pride lift or Avanti. Enjoy a ride down to the main Vail village for lunch and with no line take the Gondola back up to Midvail. Now make your way to the back bowls with short lines at the key lifts.

Don’t follow the Backbowls sign!
It leads to a very long cat track. That’s not skiing - instead head down toward Northwoods but keep going past it to the SourDough lift. At the top of Sour Dough enjoy a nice run down into the China bowl. Keep going pasts the lifts at the bottom until you get to the Skyline Express Lift #37. Ride that up and enjoy Belle’s Camp before heading down in Blue Sky Basin runs.

Where to eat in Vail!

A trip always include breakfast at The Little Diner, hard to find, long wait but so worth it!

Los Amigos by the Gondola is a great spot for lunch but it’s hard to pass up a margarita. For your Apres Ski margarita check out El Sabor, it’s the place with the red umbrellas right over the bridge in Lionshead.

Another favorite for Apres Ski is Garfinkel’s. Blue sky days are on the deck!

For a wonderful dinner check out Pepi’s Restaurant or the Bully Ranch. For fine dining make a reservation well in advance for Sweet Basil’s or Lancelot.
